The beauty of the book is that it is infinitely readable for the laymen and fully explained for the expert. It is also beautifully illustrated. The book also offers suggested answers to some of the more spiritual and esoteric questions humankind has posed about their own existence such as "how did we come to be?, how do we have sentience?, What are emotions really?"
For those of you who have ever desired to understand how the universe came to be and how matter takes shape this is your book. For those who have been schooled to believe these matters were already understood but have long awaited an explanation for why quantum mechanics and physics could not be resolved into one cohesive theory of everything this is the book for you as well.
A fully expounded and supported Unified Force Theory has been the Holy Grail of physics awaiting discovery since the turn of the Century. The authors of the Secrets of the Aether have unveiled this eagerly awaited discovery. It turns out that the only barrier to uncovering the answers that have bedeviled the physics community was to take a fresh view of the relationships between charges, magnetism and binding forces and what those mean about poorly understood matters such as gravitation.
There is a lovely symmetry revealed in the pages of this book that validate all those who, in their heart of hearts knew the field of physics was being over complicated unnecessarily. If nature teaches us nothing else, it teaches us that everything works together sensibly and elegantly (even if sometimes violently).
This book is proof that even in its most fundamental states, the universe makes sense, has a cause and perhaps from that cause we can extrapolate our purpose. In any case it is certainly comforting to know that these deep considerations of physics are not out of the grasp of the common person.
